My Wardrobe app privacy policy

This is a translation for convenience. The Russian version (moygarderobapp.ru/legal/…) is the governing text.

1. Who processes the data

Personal data operator: Roman Gennadievich Karkhu, self-employed (professional income tax, Russia), INN 780224710416. Postal address: 198264, St Petersburg, Veteranov Ave., 171 bldg. 5, apt. 2064, Russia. Contact for personal data questions: moy.garderob.app@yandex.ru.

2. What data we process

Email address — to sign in to the app, for payment emails and, during the first week after sign-up, a few tips emails on how to get started (unsubscribe via the link in any of them).
City, its coordinates and time zone — to pick outfits for the weather.
Preferences: styles, favourite colours, items you don't wear.
Photos of items and their descriptions (category, colour, material, etc.).
Usage history: outfits picked, "like / not it" ratings, "wore it" marks.
Premium payment details: amount, period, date; with auto-renewal — the ID of the payment method saved at YooKassa, its name such as "card *4444", and the dates of consent to auto-renewal and of cancelling it. You enter your card number and other payment details on the YooKassa page — we don't receive them.
Notification subscription address — if you turned on the morning reminder in the web version: a technical address issued by your browser to deliver the notification. Turn it off in the app (Profile → Outfit of the day reminder) or by signing out.
Technical data: sign-in dates and times, server request logs, a random app installation ID (created by the app, contains no device information), the tag of the link you came from your answer to "How did you hear about us?", your gender and age if you gave them — for anonymous statistics.
VK Ads pixel data — only on the moygarderobapp.ru website and in the web version of the app: cookies, IP address, browser and device type, addresses of the pages you open, ad clicks and the "registration" event, without your email or other account data. The Android app has no pixel.
Yandex Metrica data — also only on the website and in the web version: cookies, IP address, browser and device type, pages opened, clicks and scrolling, including a recording of actions on the page (Webvisor). What you type into the email and sign-in code fields is not recorded.

We don't process special categories of personal data or biometric data: photos are only used to show the item; faces are not recognised or compared with anything. Please photograph clothes, not people.

The app is not intended for children under 14.

3. Why

To provide the app's features: wardrobe, weather-aware outfits, history, trip packing.
To provide sign-in and security.
To help you get started: tips emails during the first week and, if you turned it on, the morning outfit of the day reminder.
To improve the app based on anonymous statistics.
To see which of the app's ads on VK bring users, and to show ads to people who have already visited the website.
To find what is unclear or inconvenient on the website and fix it (Yandex Metrica).

4. Legal basis

Your consent to personal data processing, given when you sign in to the app (Articles 6 and 9 of Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data").

5. Where the data is stored and who receives it

Data is stored on servers and in storage of the hosting provider Beget (Beget LLC, Russia), which processes it on the operator's behalf.
Emails (sign-in codes, payment emails, tips) are sent through Beget's mail server as well.
Premium payments go through YooKassa (NCO YooMoney LLC, Russia). We send YooKassa the amount, a description and an internal account number (no email); you enter payment details directly on the YooKassa page.
For weather forecasts the server sends only the city coordinates (rounded to ~1 km, no email or other data) to Open-Meteo (Germany) and MET Norway (Norway). Such coordinates can't identify a person, so they are not personal data and no cross-border transfer of personal data takes place.
The morning reminder in the web version is delivered by your browser's notification service (Apple on iPhone, Google in Chrome, Mozilla in Firefox). The subscription address is issued by that service itself; we send it only the generic text "Your outfit of the day is ready" — no email or other data about you.
The website and the web version use the VK Ads pixel (VK LLC, Russia): it sends VK the visit data listed in section 2 to measure ad results. You can turn it off by blocking third-party cookies in your browser or using an ad blocker; the app keeps working.
The website and the web version use Yandex Metrica (YANDEX LLC, Russia): it receives the visit data from section 2 and shows us anonymous statistics and recordings of actions on pages. You can turn it off the same way as the VK pixel, or with a Metrica opt-out extension.
We don't sell your data and don't share your email, item photos or other account data with advertising services.

6. How long

As long as you have an account.
After you delete your account, the data is deleted immediately; copies in database backups — within 14 days.
Payment records (amount, date, period) remain after account deletion in anonymised form — without your email or other data about you — for tax accounting.
Server logs are kept for a limited time: they are size-limited and overwritten as they grow.

7. Your rights

At any time you can:

view and change your data in the app (Profile, item cards);
delete your account with all photos and data: Profile → Delete account;
withdraw consent to data processing by writing to moy.garderob.app@yandex.ru; this deletes your account;
request information about how your data is processed by writing to moy.garderob.app@yandex.ru.

We reply within 10 working days.

8. Data protection

The connection to the server is encrypted (HTTPS). Photos are available only via temporary links. Sign-in codes and session tokens are stored as hashes.

9. Changes to this policy

We announce changes in the app; you'll be asked to accept the new edition the next time you sign in.
